Norwegian Epic Cruise Review by Darwal70
- Sail Date: February 2019
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Mid-Ship Inside
This was the first time we tried and inside room and loved it. Last one we had a balcony that we never used. It was perfectly dark for sleeping, which was roughly the only time we were in the room. Lots of storage space and we liked the toilet being separate from the shower.
The Cirque show was great. How they do what they do on a moving boat is incredible. The meal was quite good as well.
Pricilla was a blast. They warn you about the adult themes yet some moron brought his kid.
Howl at the Moon was fun, although scaled back from the one we went to in Indianapolis.
We skipped Burn the Floor
We were very happy with all the service except as related to the issues on the ship.
We weren’t crazy about the layout. It’s an older ship and doesn’t have The Waterfront which is great.
We were a day away from Tortola when they told us we had mechanical issues and would not be going to Tortola or St. Thomas but would be going to San Juan. At this point they told us we would get a 50% credit. We later found out there were issues before leaving. When we left they had not been able to fix the engine (not told to us) but would make Great Stirrup Cay. We didn’t and we’re in fact late getting to Port Canaveral. We’re we covered up to $300 per person for changes to flights and 100% credit on next flight.
We were making the beat of it all, but my biggest issue was the communication. That had to have known we would never get to our last port but waited until the last minute to tell us. That was my single biggest issue.
I will sail Norwegian again, just never on the Epic.

San JuanWe walked around Old San Juan and went to the fort of El Morrow. Beautiful and safe. At night we were never concerned. Just lovely during the dayView All 3,726 San Juan Cruise Port Reviews
