  3. Regal Princess
This was our second cruise with Princess in the Caribbean. We were very pleased with the first cruise and this second one didn’t disappoint. The Regal Princess is a new ship so the cabin and all public areas were in excellent condition and very attractive. We particularly enjoy the Piazza area on Princess ships. This is a great central area to relax, people watch and enjoy a variety of entertainment. We’ve also sailed with Celebrity and Holland America but haven’t encountered anything similar. Regal Princess is a large ship but we never felt crowded and were always able to find seating on deck and in dining and public areas without any trouble We celebrated my birthday on this trip and were surprised and delighted with the way this special day was recognized by Princess. I received two gifts - $50 off a spa treatment and one cover charge in a specialty dining room (a $29 value.) The food was very good - especially in the specialty Crown Grill restaurant - and service was excellent. We took a 5 day cruise on Celebrity Infinity just a few weeks before so were able to compare the two lines and Princess was the clear winner. Excellent embarkation/disembarkation process (Celebrity’s was chaotic), better food, better ambience, etc. The only downsides were weather related. We missed the stop at Princess Cay due to high winds which prevented tendering in and had one cold and wet shore excursion when it rained heavily in Jamaica. We will definitely sail with Princess again.
