MSC Armonia Cruise Review by skip.brandy
- Sail Date: January 2019
- Destination: Cuba
- Cabin Type: Interior Stateroom – Bella
Embarkation:- we arrived around 10.30, parked in the port parking, through check-in and having lunch at 12 noon, walked straight through,
Cabin:- very small, the smallest we’ve ever been on a cruise ship. Queen bed and two bunk beds, imagine a cabin with a sofa bed, but take out the sofa area, this was the size of the cabin, okay for the two of us, but not enough room for four, even if they were children. Lots of draw and closet space,
Bathroom:- Again very small, shower very small, we’re 130 and 150 lbs, and we had some problems.
Dining:- we like to do “Any time dining” as we always eat early, we were seated on a table for 8, the first night, in the MDR, service very slow, it seemed to be everyone in that section came at the same time, and the crew were run of their feet, trying to keep up. The next nights we had tables for two and four with no problems. Buffet, we found great, always had breakfast and lunch there, with lots of choices.
Entertainment:- We found excellent, singers, dancers and guest entertainers were comparable with over cruise lines.
Crew and Officers:- In other reviews, cruisers stated they found the crew and Officers unpleasant, never smiling, not responsive when spoken to them. We NEVER experienced that at all, always pleasant.
Ports and shore excursions:- Although we had intentions of going into Cuba, we didn’t, as my husband had a slight back problem. I did go into other ports just to walk around, as we’ve seen them before.
Disembarkation:- We left the ship at 8.30, picked up our luggage, and walked across to the parking garage, and was on I-95 by 9.30.
Meet&greet Party:- MSC decided to have the “Meet&greet party, it was excellent, they went out of their way, pity more people didn’t attend, 4 different cocktails, canapés and chocolate covered strawberries and a cake. They put other cruise lines to shame.
We will definitely cruise with MSC again, and no we do not work for them.
