This was our 71st cruise taken over the last 40 years and we have sailed with all the major cruise lines, Celebrity being our very favorite until this one. This was the first Royal ship we've sailed on since the Allure 5 years ago and it was truly wonderful from the cabin, service, entertainment and food. We are Diamond members and their amenities concerning cocktail hours and drinks far surpasses Celebrity. Their happy hour is from 4:30 to 8 pm every night including the 1st night which Celebrity does not include. You can also have any drink you wish in any lounge between those hours with exception of 1 or 2. Of course in the Diamond Club, there is no limit on drinks and they put out a lovely display of appetizers plus it is open all day for cappuccino and other coffees plus offer continental breakfast every morning. Their internet pkg is not as good as Celebrity or laundry offer but on a short cruise who cares. The food and dining room experience was every bit as good as Celebrity with quality and variety being excellent. The entertainment also far surpasses any of Celebrity's and the cabin was wonderful with more storage than Celebrity cabins - 2 closets and lots of drawers and not cubbies. We had an ocean balcony cabin on Central Park deck which was a great location. Being such a large ship did not bother us as passengers are spread out and nothing seemed crowded. We still love Celebrity but feel that Royal is just as good and won't hesitate to book one of their ships again.

Pleasantly Surprised

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony
Cabin 4D 8616
Cabin and balcony were great - no obstruction. Cabin had plenty of storage with 2 closets and good drawer space. Quiet location and convenient to everything.
