Ship was up to standards. Staff was friendly and very responsive to needs/requests. Entertainment was top notch. We were in L706 which was directly across from the teen center. We only heard activity briefly on New Years Eve when the staff gave them noise makers (why?). Bathroom , although small, accommodated my large spouse. We chose the anytime dining option and were relegated to only the Bordeaux dining room Would have liked to try the other dining room.Mostly, the food was good, although we were slightly disappointed that the choices were limited. We were surprised that the Horizon Buffet was a good as it was. We usually avoid buffets but this one had a great variety and food was fresh. The only real disappointment was the excursions. We opted for the Princess excursions as we were traveling with an individual with limited mobility, we were on foreign territory, and did not want to be left behind as port calls were short in duration. On the tour of Cartagena we were led mostly through a gauntlet of street vendors that were very aggressive and the tour guide did little more than text on her phone the entire time. The tour through the locks on the Panama canal took over 12 hours most of which was spent on a bus. Princess needs to be more realistic with their descriptions of their excursion.

Great cruise; Less than great excursions

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BC L706
Standard cabin with balcony. DId not enjoy balcony as much as anticipated as most activities to view from it were on the opposite side of the ship. Bathroom, although small, accommodated my larger than average spouse. This room is across the hall from the Teen Lounge. We only heard noise briefly on New Years Eve when they were given noise makers .

  • Cartagena (Colombia)
booked hop on/off with tour of old city. Were given descriptions of stops but did not have sufficient time to get off. Tour of old city was unacceptable. Radios given to hear the guide did not work; we were led through the city through an over abundance of VERY aggressive street vendors. Tour guide would stop occasionally with no description of what we were observing to text on her phone.

tour took over 12 hours, most of which was on a bus ride. Tour guide was not very fluent in English so listening to her for 4-5 hours was annoying. Cruise line needs to be more accurate on description/duration of this excursion

  • Stingray Swim
Cruise line description was to include snorkeling, and as we arrived on our boat the tour director announced that we were not going to be permitted to snorkel. We chose this tour as a compromise to include snorkeling

Talley, the tour guide was the best. She kept the group together and gave great instructions on how to deal with overly agressive street vendrs
