We were very pleased with our experience on this cruise. It was a last minute break and we only paid £2500 for a deluxe cabin sailing on 20th December for 7 nights, flying from Manchester. Its true that you get what you pay for, this cruise was very good value so our expectations were realistic. The staff were excellent and it is a very friendly ship. The food was great, well cooked and enough of a selection - again the price point of this cruise I wouldn't expect any real fine dining included. The quality of the drinks were great and the service of them from the staff excellent. I was a little disappointed with some of the cocktails, it seemed that every member of staff would do them differently, substitute ingredients - some of the fruit juices for these weren't the best. There wasn't a single cocktail that I returned to. The ports, excursions were all great. We were delayed on our flight by 9hrs as a knock on effect of the 'drones' in London so missed St Lucia really as we'd only had 3 hrs sleep by then! The entertainment was ok, the men singers were better than some of the women unfortunately - there were occasions were the audience were cringing - although they all made a great effort and we were certainly entertained! The cabin was pretty standard, along with the rest of the ship you could tell it had had a bit of a spruce up. The biggest downfall was the age of the ship and thus the movement, I've done 2 other cruises any never had a problem but had to take sickness tablets on this one to start with - its not the sea movement but a constant vibrating/jumping (imagine sitting on a tractor across a field jiggling you about) of the ship...you would be sat there and could see everyone jiggling up and down and its relentless, in addition to this there was a strange constant jolting (imagine a small child shaking you for attention) If these negatives hadn't of been there I would have voted it 4/5 stars. I would recommend this cruise if you want something cheap and cheerful, just don't set you expectations too high!

Fantastic staff and excellent locations - shame on condition of ship

Cabin Review

Cabin 0053
Large cabin, nice and quite as its on the 8th deck near front of ship. There is a staircase next to it but not often used and we heard no noise from it. Apparently the vibration and jumping of the ship was just as bad on the 2nd floor so nothing to be gained from going lower.
