Allure of the Seas Cruise Review by dswiss
- Sail Date: December 2018
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Food and service in the anytime dining restaurants were very good. The onion soup especially was great.
We had the el-cheapo inside cabin and we were very comfortable with it. It is roomy enough for a weeks trip, was very clean and well equipped. Unfortunately they still only offer the poor quality, made in China toiletries. So if you want clean hair and a decent soap, bring your own.
Disembarkation was at the new terminal in Miami. They now have facial recognition to replace passports and it all works great and gets you off the ship and out the building in record time. And this creates another problem: 6500 people outside the building shoving and pushing trying to find a cab or other transfer. Total chaos. Gridlock, poor signage, clueless attendants, cops and other officials. It felt like falling from heaven to hell.
And this is why, for the time being, we will try to avoid megaships that dock in Miami.
