  3. Celebrity Equinox
We are not veteran cruisers as many on this site so we had a travel agent recommend a cruise. We were not really fussy about what ports of call to visit, we just wanted a good shipboard experience. She did an excellent job recommending the Celebrity Equinox. Perfect for our age (55-60) It was our honeymoon (2nd time around for both of us). Our cabin was nice, and we had an amazing sized balcony. We enjoyed the main dining room and the Oceanview Buffet. We had anytime dining which we really liked as it afforded us the opportunity to meet many different people. We ate at two of the specialty restaurants, The Murano with a group of friends we made on the ship, the food, service and ambiance as well as the company we were with was just exceptional. We also tried The Tuscan Grill, where we thought the food was good but not as exceptional as we hoped, however the service and the ambience there were first rate. We met many of the senior personnel, they and the rest of their staff right down the line were just amazing. A special thank you to the Cruise Director Dan France and Hotel Director Jill Anderson. We were treated just magnificently, and we are so grateful to them. Among the special treats afforded us was experiencing the Sailaway from Key West from the Helipad on the second day and an invitation from the Captain to visit the bridge followed by a luncheon reception in the Blu restaurant on the last day. We met many terrific people on the cruise, some of whom we hope to remain friendly with. Most of the ports of call (Key West, Costa Maya and Cozumel) we explored on our own. In the Caymans though we did book Stingray City with Celebrity. Unfortunately that was cancelled due to rough seas that day so we hired a taxi and toured the Island with a small group of eight people instead, which was a lot of fun. Once again, I cannot express how grateful we are to everybody who helped make this trip special. We have nothing but praise for Celebrity in general and The Equinox in particular.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda
Cabin 1A 7215
Excellent. Space in the cabin was adequate. This cabin is on the curved part of the hump consequently we had an extra large balcony. Just loved it.
