The service by Jon Jon and his crew in the dining room was superb. he did a great job explaining all of the dishes and gave his recommendations every evening. One night when I was torn between which of two entrees to choose, he solved the problem by bringing BOTH to the table! One which was shared among the table!
The crew at the Mast Bar is the best on the ship. Chai is one of the fastest, funniest and most talented bartenders I have ever seen. Always smiling and having a good time with the patrons. And speaking of smiling, Jose and Angga on the deck were just as wonderful. Always stopping by with a smile , a hello and a fist bump when we were in our lounge chairs making sure we had everything we needed. Also, when we were in the theater for the show Angga saw us, immediately knew what we were drinking, asked us where we would be sitting and had our drinks to us within 5 minutes. Now that is service! Thank You Angga!
The ports were good. Unfortunately it rained all afternoon in Aruba and part of the day in Curacao but Bonaire was fine. We took one excursion in Curacao and did our own thing in Aruba and Bonaire. The 'Blue Bay Beach break' in Curacao was great. They shuttle you on a bus directly to the private resort where there are palm trees and numerous lounge chairs waiting for you. Beverages, showers and snorkel equipment are all available for a small fee. There is even waitress service provided on the beach.
The only negatives that I experienced were small. One, there were more kids on this cruise than the last one I took on Celebrity and even though there are numerous 'No Diving' signs posted at the pool, we were constantly bombarded with kids jumping in the pool. Someone might have wanted to put a stop to it, probably a parent more so than a staff member. And the only other negative was that for the first day and a half it seemed that many of the bars didn't have the necessary supplies & ingredients to make all drinks. The bartenders were hamstrung as they couldn't make many of the famous frozen drinks as they hadn't gotten the mixes yet.( I.e. No Miami Vices drinks as they had no strawberry daiquiri mix). Once all of the bars were fully stocked it was smooth sailing from there!
