We do not usually rake cruises for several reasons. But, this one was very good. We were in the Aqua Class. I would definitely recommend this. You have a private restaurant-Blu. We could eat at any time during the breakfast hours and dinner hours. There were no assigned times, which was great, and no waiting line. We got to know the staff and they were super to us. We sat by ourselves for breakfast and dinner (the only time Blu is open). But, the tables were close enough that we always had a good conversation with the table next to us. Also, we could use the Persian Garden sauna, which is very nice. The Entertainment was fine. Nothing to brag about. But, adequate. They have special shows at 7 and 9 each evening. They have singers, comedians and Beatles impersonators. The casino was fine but don't expect to win any money there. The drinks were expensive. We didn't buy the drink package. We can't drink that much. Beer was $7 for domestic and house wine was $9 plus an added tip. They do give free drinks in the casino if you are playing. The trip was rough on the water. I don't know if the north Atlantic is always like this. But, we brought patches and wore them and were glad we did. They had two bands. They were not bad. They have nice dance floors. They had plenty of things to do when we were cruising such as trivia, dance lessons, seminars, etc. Wife and I played cards some days. I did the acupuncture for my back problems. It did seem to help some. You might check it out if you are having problems. The dr. is very good at telling you if he can help or not. The passengers probably averaged 70-75 yrs old. I didn't expect this. But, since I am in that area, I should have. I saw one young couple on the ship. They may have been on a honeymoon. They looked pretty bored with not many other young people on board. The buffet is very good. We had to eat lunch there since Blu is closed for lunch. The only problem is finding a place to sit when we were cruising. They have pizza all afternoon and night which was a great treat at 10PM. Room service was great for breakfast when we had an early excursion. So, be sure to use it. I won't get deeply into the excursions, except to say to check and be sure they don't plan conflicting excursions on the same day. Their excursions were great and the guides were great, also. We really enjoyed Boston and Halifax. Quebec City is nice but we had to take a shuttle from the ship to get to it. And, it is very hilly making it hard to get around particularly when raining. We did like the places we stopped at. But wish we had more time in Boston. We took the Manhattan tour the last day. It was great and they dropped us off at the Newark airport. We did like the ship since it was smaller than most. But, it was hard to get around in since the center area breaks the ship up into two sections. We spent a lot of time on elevators going to different floors to get around the center area. You can walk outside to get around if the weather is good. But, we had a lot of bad days on the water. The ship will be renovated next year. It should be a great trip on this ship after the renovations. And the staff is absolutely great!

The 14 day New England and Canada tour was great.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class
Cabin A1 1111
The Aqua level rooms are bigger. The guy who did our room was outstanding. Our room was always ready after breakfast and before retiring. They brought by hors d oeuvres in the afternoon for us.
We were in room 1111. And, we kept getting calls accidentally from the crew. It seems if they did not lock their phone, it would accidentally call our room. We complained but it kept happening. So, don't stay in that room.
