  3. Silver Spirit
Our tenth Silversea cruise on four of their ships, our favorite is the 296 passenger Wind, but all are top notch. Service is outstanding and the Butler is not just an advertising gimmick, he and the cabin attendant work well together with superior results, far better than efforts on Seabourn. Spirit now offers more dining choices. Our favorites are the Atlantide for an a la cart breakfast, excellent for days at sea or when no early tours are scheduled. Also good for dinner with the lobster tails prepared so much better than in the past. The hot rock grill is fine in good weather and when one wants to be dressed casually. Steak and prawns are large and very good quality. The Italian restaurant, La Terraza, has a generous buffet at lunch and excellent dinner menu. None of these are extra charge. High tea is missed, no longer available on Spirit and the Panorama lounge is now used for cocktails and late night activity. Embarkation and debarking are best of any cruise lines, handled very well. Tours and shuttle buses are definitely more crowded on the enlarged Spirit, not up to standard for a luxury cruise. Overall, we remain loyal to Silversea, but worry about their ability to maintain quality with the larger ships and with new ownership by Royal Caribbean.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Suite
Cabin DV 762
Newly decorated, central location, and fine overall but Spirit cabins are a bit narrow compared to Silversea's smaller ships. Excellent bathroom with separate shower and the walk in closet is spacious with plenty of hangers.
