Stateroom 1538 on deck 10 at the front of the ship. This was not the biggest of staterooms, but there was ample wardrobe and storage space with great views from our balcony, The rooms were quiet considering the number of people on board and the range of activities going on, although being at the front we were away from the night club end (not sure we would have heard anything at that end either). A great range of activities to keep you occupied in between ports and also if you just wanted to stay on board. Service was excellent, food was great, drinks are all top brand names, ports we visited were beautiful. However........... Beware-1 I'm British so tipping is not a pre-requisite (and should not be), however if you haven't paid in advance you will be charged a daily rate for gratuities, which I think is not right - this practice should stop and have it included in the price of the holiday as extra tipping is allowed and I prefer to reward direct good service. Beware-2 Went on the wine tasting experience, which turns out to be a 30-40 minute sales pitch on the wine packages they have and what wines are available in each restaurant. Followed by 20 minutes of wine tasting where the presenter basically reads off the notes that are handed out. Didn't learn anything and for such a good quality ship this was a big let down. To be fair I was refunded the cost of it after I complained. Beware-3 If you get 7 days internet you will only get the seven named days - not 7 x 24 hours. So if you are relying on having the internet for the last day you will be sadly disappointed. Beware-4 Don't play bingo - it's just a money making racket! $25 per game, when I played they must have taken $8-10k and played only 1 game for $300, obviously embarrassed they increased it to $500. Beware-5 You are not allowed to take alcoholic drinks on board - they will be taken off you and handed back on your last day. With basic wines/cocktails charged at $10-14 per glass you'll need deep pockets to get drunk! So do price up the drinks packages. Beware-6 The dining experience package is great......but the food in the main dining is also great. You can save money by just eating in the main dining rooms. If I'd have known in advance of some of these items it wouldn't have bothered me as much it's just a pity you don't find out until you're on board. That said, this is a great ship with plenty to do and lots going on all the time, or quiet areas if that's not your thing.

A great adventure...but beware!
