  3. Carnival Triumph
I have cruised out of New Orleans multiple times and is a easy port to get in and out of even if you are driving. This was my second time on the Triumph in the past year. I heard about the new embarkation process about a week prior. From the time I parked my car till the time I was on the Lido deck was about 20 minutes. My sail and sign card was at my room as promised. The ship was great even if she is 19 years old and I will be curious to see how the transformation goes next year when she becomes the Sunrise. I had a inside cabin on deck 8, aft. Everything was in working order and my Cabin Steward Larsen was great. The cruise director, Simon London was excellent and I had the pleasure of chatting with him several times during the cruise. I really enjoyed listening to Soph & Simon in the Capital bar each night. I also spent a good 20 minutes talking to them in between sets one night. This is the first time that I have every seen the Sr. officers out on the Lido deck doing line dancing with the guest and how they interacted with the guest. I saw a couple of shows in the Rome theater which were pretty good. I also saw some of the comedians at the punch liner and they were good as well. I took it easy in the ports of calls since I was on my own this time and I have visted each port numerous times. Regardless of where I ate, the food was excellent. I did have at least one drink at every bar on this cruise. Service was great and it is always cool how you can sit down and they know your name and drink choice, even before seeing your sail and sign card. Getting off the ship was very smooth. I did self assit and was the second off the ship which was nice since I had a long drive ahead of me.

Cruising alone still fun!

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin 4E 8373
Cabin was clean and in working order. I decided on just having it cleaned once a day since it was just me. You can still have it cleaned twice a day even though some people fail to mention that in their reviews. My cabin stewerd was great and would stop me in the hall during the day just to make sure I did not need anything.
