Im a first time cruiser so I chose a short cruise to test the waters. This was a group cruise, ages ranging from 5-62. GETTING TO THE PORT: We decided not to park at the port ($20/day), instead we parked a the hotel down the street,Country inn and suites ($6.95/day). You dont have to stay at the hotel to park. They provide a shuttle to transport you to and from the port. GETTING ON THE SHIP: We got off the shuttle checked our luggage and enter the security area. To my surprise, we were on the ship within 30 minutes. Our cabins were not ready yet so we hung out in the flowers lobby, got some drinks, and took some pictures. CABIN: I had an ocean view room. It was clean and smelled pleasant. I brought lysol and clorox wipes on board to wipe everything down. I met my room steward within the first hour. I didnt see him much but he did a great job keeping our room spotless and the ice bucket filled. FOOD: The food was just ok. Guys burgers is overrated. The blue iguana cantina was horrible for breakfast, the burritos for lunch looked good but I didn't try them. The buffet was good, except on the last night. The seafood shack was great. Carnival needs to better pizza. The dining was the best (must try the crab cakes). I didn't get to try the steak house. Only go to the Dr.Suess breakfast for the experience, not the food,it was cold and disgusting. The room sandwiches were good There is no sweet tea on the ship. ENTERTAINMENT: There is something for everyone to do. Read your fun times and I suggest downloading the app. Go to the shows and volunteer to participate. They give away great packages to the volunteers. PORT DAY: We walked the main strip in Nassau. We shopped for souvenirs. We also stopped by senor frogs, the liquor store, and Junkanoo Beach. Junkanoo beach was cool. We rented umbrellas and chairs. There are lots on vendors selling things but none were pushy. The water was clean. It was crowded. OVERVIEW: I think i like whole idea of a cruise, but next time I will try a different cruise line. I would definitely visit Nassau again.

I expected more....
