Independence of the Seas Cruise Review by LouiseB3ll
- Sail Date: June 2018
- Destination: British Isles & Western Europe
- Cabin Type: Interior
We really enjoyed the formal nights and the opportunity to get dressed up if you wanted to, it was a good excuse to get out our ball gown and suit. However, it’s great that there is an option not to get dressed up if you choose not to.
On the last day we had a problem getting of the boat as the bank had blocked my bank card, I was getting very frustrated and impatient and the staff were extremely patient and helpful at this time while also getting a lot of hassle from other customers.
Some excursions I didn’t feel were worth the money however, it’s sometimes easier than getting of the ship and organising trips yourself.

BarcelonaBarcelona was really good but there was so much to do we didn’t have time. We got the open tour bus so we could see as much as possible in the time we had. Would definitely go back.View All 2,155 Barcelona Cruise Port Reviews

CannesWe got the train to niece and did some shopping a really lovely place. We then went to montecarlo on the train which was definitely worth doing. A lot of people did this however it would have been benifical to have a bit longer as we were pushed for time.View All 465 Cannes Cruise Port Reviews

Rock of GibraltarIt took a while to get us organised to get of the boat which was frustrating when we had been at sea for two days we were just wanting of the boat, that is why I out 4 out of 5. However, the trip itself was excellent. Got a taxi went to a few view points before the rock, we really enjoyed seeing all the monkeys on the rock. Some people got the chance to hold them if they wanted to. We also went in the caves. Was good value for money.View All 91 Rock of Gibraltar Reviews
LisbonWe did a Segway excursion this was really good and worth the money. We all got shown how to use the Segways and then went round to see some lovely views we went to a few tourist places and had time to stop and explore. We also all got provided with water. We then got a tuk tuk up to the castle. We had to watch we some people tried to charge us 40 euros when other people gave us it for 15 euros. The castle is a must see amazing views and so much to see.View All 12,260 Lisbon Cruise Port Reviews
