We sailed from Fremantle which was great as we live in Perth, embarkation was smooth and all seemed well. Our cabin was dated, however it was clean with plenty of storage space but we had to have single beds to obtain the space. Main areas of the ship were ok, but signs of age, rust was seen everywhere, also maintenance work was very evident throughout the cruise. Some fellow passengers had to sleep in a different room due to noise in the air conditioning. Food very average in comparison to other Cruse lines. Entertainment in the theatre was good. Service by our cabin steward and main dining were excellent. A lot of days at sea together at the beginning then 4 shore stops together made it a bit haphazard. Was shocked to find we had to purchase water, coffee, ice cream, plus wifi cost $130 for the duration. Photos extortionate, also a lot of hard sell for beauty products, jewellery etc. The biggest problem for us was this points system, whilst we appreciate the world is full of incentives for loyalty etc, it goes beyond the pale for passengers to be wearing cabin cards around their necks all day/night even on formal evenings to broadcast their so called "elite status" even to a separate line at reception for them. That's all they talked about. We have travelled far and wide on many many cruse lines but never seen this display of brash behaviour. Dress code another area, smart casual does not mean ripped jeans, brash t shirts and sneakers in the formal dining room!! Just total disrespect for passengers who make an effort. Fitness room had very few mats that were so thin that our backs were very sore after stretch & relaxation. It was mentioned to the instructor but not addressed. Drinks package ridiculous as they ran out of certain drinks 4 days into the cruise. All in all don't be fooled by the cheaper offers and incentives when looking for a cruise "buy cheap, buy twice" should be remembered. This was our first Princess cruise but we won't be rushing back, she should have been in dry dock long ago!!!

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin IC A337
Normally choose a balcony, however ship was full. Old but clean, plenty of storage due to single bed formation, double bed would have been cramped. TV was a small cheap appliance could hardly see anything on it. Had to buy water in fridge.
Shower good (for a ship) . Bed comfortable but far too small for hubby.
Excellent cabin steward.
