We chose this cruise especially with the transatlantic component which we find a great way to relax. It was our first visit to the Baltic. We had an obstructed view balcony(E102) at the front of the ship which was only obstructed due to a solid panel instead of glass. Our seas were pretty calm but it could get s bit rocky if bad seas being at the front of the ship. We chose traditional dining which we find always great. Our waiters were fabulous and the menu excellent, The Entertainment shows are always very good and popular. Our favorite ports of call were Rotterdam for the tulip festival, Warnemunde where we stayed in the town and visited Rostock by train, Bruges- very quaint town on canals, Tallinn which was fascinating and easy to do on our own. St Petersburg was amazing with a visit to the Hermitage museum and the ballet before we disembarked. Next time we would disembark elsewhere to explore more with the ship tours and also to avoid having to get our own transit visas. All worked fine with no issues.

A great transatlantic crossing with interesting ports

Cabin Review

Balcony (obstructed view)
Cabin BW E102
A spacious cabin with an obstructed view only due to a solid panel rather than glass.
It is a quiet location re no other guests walking past but it can get noisy coming into port with crew on stairs, etc.
being at the front of the ship it could get a bit of movement but we didn’t have any problems.

  • Berlin
We stayed in Warnemunde which just lovely. The beach is beautiful and a must see to walk along or relax. The view from the top of the lighthouse is great. Lots of shops and restaurants along the canal.
We caught the train to Rostock which was quaint.

  • City Tour
Our tour was city highlights with time on our own in the afternoon. The first part involved walking through the main areas of the old town with an audio headset. The guide was very good. We then had a canal tour which. Was great to do. In the afternoon we had plenty of time to wander around on our own for lunch, coffee and chocolate! Lots of photos opportunities and souvenir shops.

We took the ship excursion to Mont St Michel. This is a 2;hour drive away from the port but worth it. The visit was a bit rushed and very busy but still worth doing.

Easy to get around yourselves here as the ship port is close to the city. We walked into the main part of the city and caught a ferry to the museum area, The Viking ship museum and folk museum and then we caught the ferry back to the town hall. In the city we went to the palace area and then generally around the shopping area.

Sim0y amazing. This was an absolute highlight of our trip. The tulip gardens were in full bloom and while there were plenty of people there it was comfortable walking around,

Such an awesome experience to see the Russian ballet in Russia. The theatre was beautiful and we were well cared for by the tour guides. We received a glass of wine at interval. Highly recommend .
