We love this relatively small ship, with a more intimate atmosphere, friendly staff and lack of queues everywhere. The cabin was very well maintained, with a comfortable bed. We travelled as a couple and noticed that there were very few children on board. We found the food to be of a very good standard; with the two fine dining restaurants good value; we preferred Bayou to Sabitini's. This is the second time we have sailed this particular cruise, and we enjoyed it as much this time. There is a very good balance of ports of call and sea days. We took Princess shore excursions for all ports, except Aruba (we decided we just wanted to stroll around the nice port area this time), and were happy with the majority. Ocho Rios was our favourite because of the friendliness of the tour guides and the beautiful scenery. Costa Rica was an interesting place and very good for spotting animals such as sloths, monkeys, birds, etc. in their natural habitat I was quite ill with a migraine on embarkation day, and we were touched by the kindness of all the staff we encountered during the process.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Aruba
Very nice to stroll around the port town, which is directly accessible from the ship. There is a free short tram ride around the town.

  • Botanical Garden
The bus ride is fairly short to the gardens, and there were not too many people visiting. The guide ensured we saw as much as possible. The walking pace was reasonably slow, which was quite acceptable because it was so hot.

  • Panama City
Lovely to see the three parts of this very interesting city, from the oldest to the newest. Quite a lengthy bus ride to Panama City, but it's worth it. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

  • Dunn's River Falls
There were way too many people at the Falls. They are great to see, but absolutely full of people. Obviously very popular for all tourists on the island.
