Norwegian Epic Cruise Review by trician24

We just returned from our cruise on the Epic. We visited Nassau, Falmouth Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Great Stirrup Cay. We were in a 2 BR suite and LOVED the Haven. I would recommend the Haven to anyone who wants a vacation to remember. The ship itself was better than the reviews I had read. It only seemed congested when the shows were getting out or when we were coming back from port. The elevators can get busy but you learn to work with it. The food was amazing, the only place we didn't care for was O'Sheehans. Great Stirrup Cay was paradise. We skipped excursions on Nassau and Falmouth and opted to rent a small cabana on GSC. That made the perfect ending to the vacation. I would do that again on our next visit there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One minor issue is that some of their accents can be a little hard to understand at first. Our only true complaint would be that the hostesses should not be checking in and seating guests. They should have help so that the line to get into the restaurants doesn't get backed up while guests wait. We loved Burn the Floor and Cirque Epicurean. We saw a magic show which was enjoyable. The Haven is definitely worth the money. Our butler Jane was so nice to us. Everyday around 3 -4 pm we had snacks delivered. The candy dishes were always filled with M&Ms and gummy bears. Fresh fruit was always in the room. The private Haven restaurant had the best breakfast and perfect start to the day. The Haven lounge and pool area was such a treat. It was that quiet spot to relax when you needed some sun away from the excitement of the main areas. My 15 year old loved Entourage the teen club. He made so many new friends and will never forget this vacation. We are going again next year on the Epic to the Eastern Caribbean and will be in the Haven again!
trician24’s Full Rating Summary
Perfect cabin in the Haven. Steps away from the pool, concierge and Haven lounge / restaurant. Plenty of storage for 3 adults and teenager. Master bathroom shower was amazing with the window looking out at sea and the double sinks was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable and it was nice that there were 3 zones for AC...one in the main living area and one in each bedroom.
Port & Shore Excursion Reviews
We enjoyed walking around this port. It had nice shops and food stands. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. There was no pressure like in Nassau. We would go back to Falmouth if it was part of another cruise.

We love the turtle farm. We were there several years ago and wanted to go back this trip. it is a reasonably priced excursion for a family. My son liked holding the baby turtles and having the birds perch on him as he fed them. You can snorkel there and swim in a lagoon pool. We had some lunch at the on site restaurant before heading back to the tour bus. It was a nice time off the ship.

The best port of all. We will only take NCL cruises that stop there. We had small cabana #17. It was in a perfect location on Fiesta Beach. It is a more quiet location than the main beach areas when you first get on the island. With the cabana you get fruit, salsa and chips, and bottles of water waiting for you. You get towels and water floats. It was nice not to have to bring towels from the ship. You can order other food items to be brought to your cabana. You also have beverage service so it is worth it on a hot day to have a cold drink delivered to you. We enjoyed the GSC and the small cabana so much! It was the perfect ending to our vacation!

We got off the ship and quickly got back on. The port was unorganized and too many locals yelling and completing to take you on tours, buses, taxi rides etc. It got to be too much so we went back on the ship.
