Norwegian Star Cruise Review by shenetic
- Sail Date: February 2018
- Destination: Panama Canal & Central America
- Cabin Type: Mini-Suite with Balcony
AND the itinerary...PANAMA CANAL cannot be beat!
The NCL Star is an older ship....but is could fit through the Canal in the original part. The ship was creaky...we had two nights of rocking seas...our Mini Suite was very nice, with great cabin service. We were on Deck 11...very quiet.
We do not participate in the usual daily activities...we tend to do our own thing. I enjoyed the pool on sea days and indulged in 2 wonderful massages. We visited the Deck 6 cocktail bar every day before dinner.
We ate 6 dinners in Speciality Restaurants...CAGNEYS and LeBistro were our favs. The 2 main Dining Rooms were good.
We had 30 minutes of free WiFi as Platinum Latitudes members. We added 100 minutes for $75. I really missed my WiFi!
Our biggest complaint...not a new one...was the lack of a solid news source on TV. We were stuck with the insipid FOX NEWS..absolutely unacceptable in a world with satellites everywhere! NCL needs to expand its horizons...try MSNBC, for a change!
We could have done without Acapulco...the rest of the ports were great...the PC transit was awesome.
A great cruise!
