  3. Carnival Dream
This was our 5th cruise (4 with Carnival and one with RC) and we booked over a year in advance. We thought that since the Dream was a new ship and we were the 1st 7-day cruise, it would be awesome. WRONG! The only staff that was friendly was our cabin steward. Let me first say, they were good. The cafeteria on the Lido deck was horrible. The lines were extremely long and the food was not good. Also, there were many times that they did not open all the lines until it was packed and guests were complaining. It was a real mad house. I never had to fight so hard for a plate of food. Usually on past Carnival cruises, you can always depend on the pizza bar to get satisfied. But not on the Dream! The pizza guys were very slow, they brought out one pizza at a time and you had several people standing there waiting. They kept saying, it will be a 6 or 7 minute wait! How hard is it to make sure you keep the pizza coming. And then, their attitudes sucked. The ship captain was very unfriendly. My husband spoke to him and he just walked right by him. Our dinning room waiter was mega slow. You could tell he did not know what he was doing. I think this was his first time. The other waiters were serving their guests and we were still waiting for bread and water. The tender service from the ship to the island of Belize was so bad that guests were screaming and cussing at the operators. That was too much drama for me. There were not enough workers to accommodate the amount of people on the ship and I believe that attributed to the lack of friendliness many guest experienced with the ship's employees. It really made our trip a disappointment, we expected to get pampered and treated like they were happy that we chose their ship. Instead, we felt like we were inconveniencing them. Instead of spending 3 or 4 thousand dollars on a suite on the Dream, I recommend using that money for something else!

Cabin 7379
Cabin was good, steward was good. The roomservice was not good. We felt like we were bothering them.
