Silver Spirit Cruise Review by Oregano2
- Sail Date: November 2017
- Destination: Mediterranean
The suite was great and generally well kept .I didn’t need the butler who in any case had to service about 25 people.
The service was patchy particularlyly slow at times and seemed poorly managed.Im an HR guy and. I felt the staff seemed poorly motivated. It was far from 6 star .
The food was good sometimes really good particularly in the main reseat night and the Asian restaurant at lunchtime.
The buffet at breakfast and lunch was poor the selection was very ordinary again far from 6 star. Nothing exciting or novel and presentation was like a school cafeteria. The ship is having a complete refit next year but that should make them want to put more effort into the food not less.
All in all the view of many first timers was that at the prices they charge normally it wouldn’t be a good buy.
It obviously has its loyal fans those I met being elderly who don’t want activities better gyms or more lectures or shows .
In 4 nights we had 2 45 minute excellent shows there were some piano and jazz cabaret type performances but they didn’t appeal to me.
The solo cruise hostess was outstanding.
