This is the shortest cruise I have ever been on (3 night) so that may impact my opinion. The ship was very nice. The stateroom was nicely updated, we were in a balcony stateroom. The food was fantastic in the main dining room but very average at best in the Lido deck (buffet). They cut our stay short in Nassau which was out of their control due to a storm but we were really looking forward to the overnight stay and spending time at Atlantis at night. That being said, they did absolutely nothing to make up for the lost time at our only port stop such as a free drink, or anything else. The casino boss was also dirt cheap. On other cruises including several Carnival ones the pit poss will normally have the wait staff bring out free drinks for the people dropping several hundred at the tables (especially thousands like some of the people playing next to us). Lastly, almost all the staff was fantastic. The embarkation and debarkation worked better than the last 11 cruises I have been on. The only complaint about a staff member would be our stateroom Stewart. He forgot to bring us ice the entire time (which was annoying especially b/c we ordered alcohol from the fun shop which needed to be chilled) and the first day he came by and asked us when we wanted service, morning or night only. Again, not sure if this is typical because it was a 3 night & never did one that short but I have never had a stateroom Stewart give us an option instead of just doing it whenever it was convenient for us. Lastly, room service was impossible. We only were able to get hold of them once by phone. That being said, we were still satisfied with our cruise and would recommend it b/c of the beautiful ship, & easy disembarkation/embarkation.

Nice getaway

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Blue Lagoon Island Beach
Very overpriced for what you get. 150 bucks per couple do hangout at the beach. If we didn't get to see the dolphins and sea lions I probably would give it a one star. Although beautiful, everything is an up charge. I wouldn't normally care about this except for 150 bucks getting a fairy ride to the island and a 2 dollar lunch meal if that isn't really worth it.
