Precruise we stayed in Rome for four nights in an Air B and B near Piazza Navona. It was a great location for walking to all the sites. Embarkation went smoothly, although this was the first time that we were asked to surrender our passports (able to pick them up after the Greek ports were completed). Ship was older and smaller, but it was clean and easy to navigate. We mostly ate in Windows, where outside of one breakfast, we received excellent service. We found that the Garden was much darker and they really did not want to seat a party of two (either suggested we share or go to Windows). We did eat dinner at Shogun three times, and it was very good for a complimentary restaurant. Went to the main theater most evenings. It had a strange entrance; you entered at the front of the theater, so latecomers would be walking in in front of the action! For the main show, Elements, they closed the entrance so people could not do that. We were impressed that they had a large variety of shows and did not repeat. The guitar player in Henry's Pub, the Amar Orchestra, and Souled Out were the most enjoyable entertainment across the ship. Most evenings there was some sort of themed presentation in Galaxy of the Stars, which was a lovely venue. The variety of ports was the reason we booked the cruise, and we got off at every port. We mostly did shared excursions booked through the CC roll call, and DIY in the remaining. We were very pleased with our choices. Our favorite ports were Malta, Sicily, and Santorini. Disembarkation went smoothly as well. Eating in the dining room as opposed to the buffet made it more relaxed.

Great way to see many places!

Cabin Review

Inside
Cabin IF 5017
Cabin was very well located for using the stairs to the restaurants, bars, and shows. The shower was much larger than I expected for a small inside cabin. The drawer rollers were rather noisy. We were able to hear our neighbors arguing/coughing through the walls. If you shift the items in the minibar, you can use it to keep drinks cool!
