This was a quick getaway for my wife and I (49-42), we are experienced cruisers with 5 celebrity, 2 carnival, and 1 Holland. Let me first say the highlight of our cruise was dinner in the dining room, our staff worked hard and were very accommodating (a shout out to Ozwit and his partners), the food was also well prepared. We had a balcony room 7396, it was a good location, the room attendant did a good job of keeping the room clean. The ship its self seemed clean and well kept, but small for the amount of people on board, there were crowds and long lines everywhere. This was a big problem especially in the lido buffet area, sometimes the lines where so long we just gave up and got pizza or a burger, one day we skipped lunch until around 3:00 when the lines went down. We also had the drink package, but sometimes the bartenders were so busy that it took long times at certain bars, I did hit my 15 drink limit on the last day and was told while in the casino that I could have no more, that sucked because I was drinking beers all day and was fine. The fellow passengers on board gave us a show everyday, most were very over weight and did not mind showing it in there bikinis, it was like a floating Walmart. The cruise overall was just ok, if this was my first one I might be turned off from cruising, but I know there is better. With that said the Wife and I have vowed never to cruise on less than a 7 day, and probably stay away from carnival.
