I choose this cruise for the potential of seeing great fall foliage colors. October 1 was a little early for the fall foliage this year. The October 11 cruise will be much better as the last couple days the leaves started to change color. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. I was on board within 45 minutes of my arrival at the pier. On disembarkation, the luggage was laid out in groups easy to identify quickly. Exiting through customs went very quickly. The buses for airport transfers were lined up and ready to go. The ship is very nice but shows her age a bit. Areas like the stairs by the pool going up to deck 10 showed wear and tear. The steps did not match and a few were well worn. The food on-board was nothing special. In fact, there were several nights that nothing on the menu really interested me. In past cruises, I found most nights difficult to make a selection because everything looked so good on the menu. I assume it is due to the push to sell the specialty restaurants products. The service on board was very good. The staff was friendly and readily available to assist when asked. The television on this ship has not been upgraded. You can not check your on board spending, check out your photographs or order room service through the television as on other ships. The options for television entertainment were also very limited in that the limited shows were repeated every day throughout the cruise. The ports of during this cruise all nice and appear to be safe for walking around by yourself. Although most ports lacked transportation from the pier into the small towns. Most of the time it was just a 10 to 20 minute walk. In looking at the age of my fellow cruisers, it was a bit much for some of them. My fellow cruises were mostly retired individuals

Cabin Review

Cabin 7025
The cabin was a little dated but otherwise nice. In fact, this cabin had a lot more storage than any cabin inside or outside out my 18 cruises. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get in and out of the bed. The room is just a little too small for the bed. to get to either side you must squeeze by either a chair or a cabinet with a wide panel television sticking out.

The bathroom was also a little small. Their is practically no room for an average size person to sit on the toilet with your back to the seat. You have to accommodate a wall by sitting sideways.
