Celebrity Summit Cruise Review by Pagewriter
- Sail Date: September 2017
- Destination: Canada & New England
- Cabin Type: Concierge Class 3
we wanted this to be as "all inclusive" as possible and tried to plan every detail. Once we got settled into our cabin, I went to the concierge to find out what options I had and was told to "check with the dining room" and make my own reservations. Later, I asked about getting signed up for computer classes and the cocierge told me to go check with the iLounge.
what did I pay for "Concierge class" for? For the entire trip,Igot NO service at all from the Concierge.
I overall rating for the trip would be about a B-. Mostly because of feeling so ripped off by the concierge.
The wait staff and the cabin steward were fantastic and Henrick, our steward was the best. In my opinion, he saved the trip from being really disappointing.
I was disappointed in the "art" that was auctioned several times during the voyage. It was mostly poster art in fancy frames and was promoted as if it was an investment opportunity.
I was surprised to find the average age to be around 75-80 and perhaps 20 percent disabled. I would have preferred a younger crowd even though I am over 70.
