Celebrity Summit Cruise Review by hankies
We chose this cruise to see New England and we enjoyed the ports very much. Captain Alex is a joy. Every day he gave a Quote of the Day and other charming comments.... WAY TO GO, Captain Alex! Cabin is tiny in the least expensive category but seemed very clean. I now always seem to cough for WEEKS, after cruising. Don't know if germs are spread in the air conditioning. If it is, better filters must be used. The theater shows had an abundance of theatrical smoke. After a few days many passengers were also coughing. This smoke supposedly is an irritant to some people. Shows were enjoyable...especially Antonio Salci, a very talented pianist! There were two very good nature speakers. Food was salty; especially soups. Some soups were too full of corn starch and flavor was lost. Some people paid extra in the restaurants on board and like the food very much. I think this better food should be standard for everybody. The buffet is a choice which goes much faster than your assigned dining time and there are many choices but one cannot order salt free dishes, unless you have it made at the Asian station in a WOK. There are lots of seniors on non holiday two week cruises.
