This cruise was a college graduation present.. Where to begin; Embarking, much faster than three years ago. Staff at the terminal was very good and made the process flow smoothly. Once on board and got to our rooms everything was neat and tidy. We had a balcony for the first time and will probably always have a balcony from now on. It is wonderful to sit on your own deck and drink your morning coffee or have an evening drink. Service staff was excellent. Wayan was always checking to make sure everything was in order and we were pleased. He always had a smile on his face and always called us by name. Dining, our first night we were seated at a table mid room, waiters were nice and food was very good. Second night we were seated on the opposite side of the dining room at a window table, here we met Karnita. What a pleasure it was that evening and every evening for the rest of our cruise. We requested Karnita each night and also had a window seat each night. After the first night with Karnita was our head waiter, he knew my tastes and would ask it I was having a certain menu item which was always the one I would have chosen. Cassandra was also very good. Wonderful attitude and just made our experience that much better. Mark is another fine example of the dining staff. Every evening as we were leaving he managed to be in just the right place to ask how everything was. His smile was contagious and so warm. The food on the ship was all very good. From the Pizza bar to the main dining room. Guy's Burgers were exceptional and the service was FAST. Lido deck was our choice for breakfast. The omelets are great. Lido was also where we ate lunch on most days the selects were numerous and food was also good. Staff always had a smile on their faces. Cruise director; Flying Scotsman. I can't say enough about Chris. We laughed until we hurt and were amazed at his singing talent. The Fun crew were great and performed excellent shows. Back to Chris,, never give up the Kilt. We did three Excursions, all were enjoyable, however the Lamania Mayan Ruins and River Cruise with Elvis as our guide was top notch. Someone that can put out so much information be informative and entertaining at the same time deserves a special salute. He made the drive to the river seem much shorter than it was and explained so much about the ruins. His assistants at the ruins were also very good. However Elvis will always be remembered for his excellent presentations. Debarkation was a bit slower than I would have liked but I did like the fact that not everyone was trying to get off the ship at the same time. Overall it was a wonderful experience and our Collage Grad had a blast on her first cruise.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin 8D 9334
Our cabin was great. Loved the balcony. only draw back was the noise from Lido deck of chairs being moved at early hours or very late hours. Cleaning must be done and this we understood.

Guide was young and not fluent in
English. Many times he had to stop and think about which words to use next. His attitude was wonderful and he will improve with time. Chocolate and Tequila were both superb.
