We choose this cruise mainly because we had been on the Alaskan cruise and thought it would be good to stay with ship and do the Pacific coastal as there were lots of interesting ports of call. We reviewed the ports of call before the cruise and checked out celebrity's shore excursions and viators offerings. We opted to do our own thing with regards to shore excursions and were happy with our choices. We had no issues regarding the embarkation and disembarkation process however we were disappointed that on day 1 of this cruise we found the disembarkation shore excursion to LAX was already full and we could be waitlisted but no guarantee given that another tour would be going ahead. As we were b2b on this cruise we elected to leave the ship and explore Vancouver once again, however when we returned to ship as 'in transit passengers' the cruise terminal staff took a little bit of persuasion to allow us to follow the instructions that celebrity had provided us with - they wanted us to join the long queues of new passengers - however eventually sense prevailed and we were then allowed to follow celebrity's instructions. The infinity is an older ship and we have sailed on her previously. We like the size of this ship and it suits us however we are more itinery based cruisers than ship based in our cruise choices. We had a C1 concierge stateroom and we were happy with what we had as we have been in a C1 stateroom previously on a millennium class ship. Our stateroom attendant was excellent. We had select dining for the first time and we did not choose to make table reservations and we never had to wait more then 5 minutes to get a table, however we did advise that we were happy to share and did not particularly have to give a table for 2, please be aware that the majority of tables for 2 are very close together - we do not mind this however others might. We did not opt for speciality dining as if we had bought a package it would have to have been used in one of our b2b weeks. On the whole the meals served in the trellis restaurant were very good I only had to send one meal back as my medium steak looked more like medium rare, this was not an issue to be changed however it did hold up the rest of the table with their desserts. We used oceanview buffet restaurant in the evening when we had spent longer ashore I really enjoyed the make up your own stir fry - very good and would recommend - you choose your vegetables, noodles or rice, meat & sauce and it's all prepared in front of you. At llunch in the ocean view the select your own bread & filling toasted sandwich bar is also excellent. The ice cream bar in oceanview is great you can choose from various ice cream & sorbets or whippy ice cream, sweets for topping to add or just have a bowl of sweets or some lovely baked cookies - all good and a busy wee station at all times in oceanview. Cafe al bacio is a wonderful haven for a coffee/tea stop with the option for cookies, pastries or cakes. We loved going there for our after dinner liqueur coffees and the girls serving were do friendly and attentive. We are not great activity people however we did visit the theatre however on the downside on a b2b the shows are the same, but the specialist entertainers changed. We particularly enjoyed the aerialist duo, they gave an amazing performance. We enjoyed a couple of the trivia events held in the constellation lounge and like the daily sudoku snd crossword sheets as well as the daily British newspaper. We did take part in the silent disco in the martini bar and it proved to be a great fun event. We cannot fault the service we received however we did find the sommeliers service in the main dining room to be better on the Pacific coastal cruise than on the Alaskan cruise. We found all staff and officers on board to be visible, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our captains club events and the hostess Paulina was one of the most friendly that we have met. The only port we were disappointed in was Astoria really not a lot to do and we were not interested in any of the shore excursions. Would have preferred an overnight in San Francisco We did our own thing in all of the ports on this cruise and found them easy to get around. Favourite port was Santa Barbara then Monterey.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1
Cabin C1 8112
Cabin met our needs and to be honest the shower had more power and heat than our previous experiences in a C1 cabin.
We enjoyed our balcony although didn't use it much as this cruise was quite port intensive.
Our stateroom attendant was excellent and met all our expectations
