  3. Carnival Triumph
This was our first time on the Triumph and we had an Aft-Extended Balcony. The cabin and balcony itself were both wonderful. But our location, Deck 6, was not the wisest choice in hindsight. We were right above the Rio Lounge and they had loud late night entertainment which bled very loudly up to our cabin making it difficult for us to sleep since we are not night owls. I have only myself to blame for not realizing our cabin location before setting sail. I have learned my lesson about choosing a cabin. We were somewhat disappointed with the quality of the food this cruise. It did not come up to par to the other cruises we have taken. Thank goodness for the Blue Iguana and the Deli. They were my top two choices. The service in the main dining room leaved much room for improvement also. The first night it seemed like it took forever for us to get our food. And my pet peeve is being forced to smell someone else's cigarette smoke. When walking on the Promenade deck you aren't able to walk very far before being overtaken by the smoke. I really do wish Carnival would be more sensitive to their non-smoking passengers. But I suppose they care more about making money in their casinos than the health of their passengers. With all of that being said, I still would sail on the Triumph again because I learned how to avoid the smoke and where to eat. The rest of the ship was great and I had no complaints whatsoever.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony
Cabin 8N 6438
The cabin and balcony were great but if you're not a night owl don't choose the aft-extended balcony on this deck. The lounge directly below will be loud late into the night.
