Viking Sea Cruise Review by Natkat3100
- Sail Date: April 2017
- Destination: Baltic Sea
Our Homelands cruise began in Bergen, Norway which was a lovely, charming city and we were very lucky to have a beautiful, sunny couple of days. Bonus!
Embarkation was extremely smooth with a big factor being that the ship was a 930 passenger as opposed to thousands! The same goes for a pleasant disembarkation.
We love the Scandinavian influence of the ships decor making it very tasteful, relaxing and comfortable.
The staff could not have been more accommodating. We appreciated their cheerful, positive attitudes, which was very infectious!
We were very happy with the food in all Viking Sea's restaurants. It was very difficult not to overeat with so many lovely items to indulge in.
Our excursions were well organized and informative making us feel like we left knowing more about the people, culture and history of our destinations. We also enjoyed the educational aspects on board the ship. The onboard lectures were delivered by experts in their field and relevant to the places we visited. Travel for us is all about learning and Viking have this down to an art.
It was very difficult to leave the ship after 2 weeks of pampering and comfort.
Thank you Viking on a job well done, we are huge fans!

St. PetersburgI believe it goes without saying that St.Petersburg was the ultimate highlight of the Baltic Cruise. Our two day stay gave us a very good idea and insight to this magnificent city. Everything was grand in scale and beauty. We left there with lots to think about both past and present history and the average persons life in Russia.View All 605 St. Petersburg Cruise Port Reviews
