We want on the Canaries Cruise out of Southampton for 12 nights. I am writing the blog whilst still on the ship as I cannot wait to get off and have some decent food. It usually always comes tepid in the main restaurant and on several occasions I have sent it back. Never did I get anybody from the Kitchen or the Manager coming to me apologising, just a reheated version of what I ordered. On the positive side the entertainment on this ship is the best I have seen. With Grease and the several other entertainers including the Ice Dance Team it was great. The staff in general are great including Santos who was our suite attendant. We hade a suite because I decided to upgrade us from a Junior Suite to a Grand Suite as it was our first holiday after our Daughters wedding. We were in cabin number 1564 on deck 10 and I would never book this cabin again. The room is great, the balcony with 2 chairs and 2 sun beds is fantastic but it is all spoiled by the Extended Hot Tub that is directly above our cabin. It totally and I mean totally blocks out any chance of Sun and every 15 minutes you hear the Spa Jets button being pushed and the noise level goes up. Also fur some reason there were many kids who just had to run up and down the corridors. We booked this time of the year as we expected no kids and we are from Scotland and I know that the kids were not on a school break. The drinks package is great if you can can control your intake but many people treated this like a booze cruise. As. Diamond Plus member I think I will stick with Celebrity going forward. My E-mail is bob@fyfe.me.uk and happy to be contacted.
