Regal Princess Cruise Review by shamrockace
- Sail Date: May 2017
- Destination: Baltic Sea
- Cabin Type: Interior
The entertainment was limited as this was a very port intense cruise. We did have issues getting off the ship in St Petersburg as we had booked an independent tour & Princess wanted all their tour people thru customs first. I thought there was going to be a riot.
This is the most diverse cruise we've ever taken & I thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many people from other cultures & backgrounds.
The weather was too cool to use the pools or outdoor space. A retractable roof would have been wonderful. The sanctuary went unused. The room, while an inside room, was plenty big enough with lots of storage. We did three excursions thru the cruise ship. The one in Copenhagen was excellent. The one in Oslo was good, & the one in Finland was not good. Our guide was an older lady & would tell you about something AFTER we passed it; Too late for pictures.

City TourBoth the driver & guide Paul, was wonderful. My expectations were low as it was a city tour post cruise with a drop off at the airport. I've done these before & normally they are a "catch it while you take pictures thru the window".. not this one. We had several opportunities to get out and view the sites. We even saw the changing of the guards at the palace. He also took us thru a hidden doorway that opened to a beautiful garden & old buildingView All 171 City Tour Reviews
Holmenkollen Ski JumpThe only disappointment was we only got 10 minutes at the ski jump. Not enough time to go in the museum or to use the stimulator.View All 15 Holmenkollen Ski Jump Reviews
StockholmWe bought city bus tickets. If I had to do it over, I would do the hop on / hop off bus & get more for my money. The city bus was expensive.View All 824 Stockholm Cruise Port Reviews

TallinnA walking tour of old town was lovely. It is like going back in time. Wear good shoes as you walk on cobbled stones all day. Our guide really loves his townView All 1,006 Tallinn Cruise Port Reviews
