Yes - the ship is a little tired, but that is the only fault we could find. If you are looking for a formal cruise with Broadway'esque' entertainment then this isn't the one for you, but the staff, food and itinerary were second to none. Anything you want - you can have, the staff will do anything for you and work 7 days a week, the ship is spotless, as are the cabins. Some people will claim it is 'cheap booze'!! If Heineken and Strongbow on draught and Smirnoff and Gordons etc are cheap then OK - but I think not! People are quick to criticize Thomson cruises, this was my first and I was very happy with it - If you don't want the hustle and bustle of the buffet style restaurants then you don't have to use them - Orion is waiter service and no cover charge applies - and the food and service are excellent. Some of the bar staff in particular were faultless - James in Tides bar and Darren on the Sun deck to name a couple were very friendly and would do anything for you - always happy and cheerful. In a nutshell - we were more than happy with the Thomson Dream, it isn't a formal ship (but we aren't formal people) it is very laid back and easy going - one thing in particular which we were surprised at was that the staff took the towels off the beds if people didn't return within 40 mins - this is a huge plus for us!! We will definitely look at booking with Thomson again. Gemma and Martin Warrington UK
