Carnival Legend Cruise Review by wadsworthy
- Sail Date: March 2017
- Destination: South Pacific
Our room bathroom was mouldy and the basin sink was badly cracked with mould everywhere.
The food was inedible. Went to the anytime dining restaurant and we ordered a meat dish (corn beef) when it was presented to us it was a solid piece of fat covered over with a green gravy. My friend threw up eating her meal. I declined it.It must be said this is the first cruise I actually lost weight as we declined breakfast and lunch. The Nouvelle (spelling?) was our only saving grace but at $90++ for the 2 of us it became just too much.
The coffee machines kept breaking down. None of the attendants offered coffee to any one but yes you can buy one.
The interior of the ship was dark and gloomy with grey coloured urns festooned everywhere. If there was something that needed to be held up, they put a grey urn under it.
The reception staff (Karin, Karorly (again spelling) were truly dreadful. They gave us no help with our problems, never gave us any answer's and were surly, abrupt and just plain rude. The only one who gave any customer satisfaction was a chap named Nelmar. Why is he working for Carnival I will never know.
Drinks outrageously over priced. Everywhere you were charged for every conceivable thing. If Carnival could make money out of it I'm sure the life jackets would be flogged off.
To add injury to insult on the day before or last day to arrival into Syd. We sat through a info talk by the Cruise Director named Lee or Leigh. He thought he was very funny when he said.' You had 12 days with us, if you didn't like us give us a positive review anyway cause your not coming back.!!! We and the entire audience just sat in total stunned silence. Nice one .
The smokers were everywhere but where they were suppose to be/smoke. Cigarette butts everywhere. The staff seemed to afraid to tell them otherwise.
We struggled hard to find/say something nice about this cruise and have always enjoyed other cruise company's but this one avoid at all cost. Run or take an air plane instead.

Eman was great (room steward). If it wasn't for him we would of jumped ship long ago.
