Wind Surf Cruise Review by newdec
- Sail Date: January 2017
- Destination: Caribbean
Compared to previous cruises on much larger ships (Wind Surf carries about 300 passengers), we found this trip to be a more personal experience. There was no feeling of being part of a herd. The staff got to know us and vice versa. There was little sense of being crowded and one rarely encountered a queue.
The food was much better than we'd encountered previously. The staff went to great efforts to accommodate our dietary preferences. The range of choices available at each meal was impressive.
There was also more awareness of wave action. This was subtle and did not bother us much at all, but it was more noticeable than on the larger cruise ships we'd been on.
It is notable that the average age of the passengers on this cruise was significantly higher than what we've noted on the larger cruise ships. This was a cruise of mostly 50, 60 and 70+ year olds. This was perfectly fine with us, but worth noting.
All in all, our cruise was felt to be very enjoyable by all in our party. We will likely plan another Windstar cruise in the near future.
