I went on this cruise to be a travel companion to an 84 yr old woman. We were part of a group of eight. This is the first cruise I've ever been on where the Windjammer shuts down mid-day. That was very inconvenient for some of us, especially one who is diabetic. Many other guests seemed surprised and unhappy about it as well. At the fitness center I had to try 3 recumbent bikes to get one that worked correctly. One bike had lost one of the end caps off the hand grip exposing sharp, pointed, plastic edges. The safe in our room needed two repair calls and a third call for new batteries. The sales staff in the Regalia jewelry shop is extremely pushy. Friendly, but they operate in overdrive. They're worse than used car salesmen. The customer services employees were great and the dining room waiters were exceptional. Most employees were friendly and helpful except for the older guy who makes smoothies in the spa area. He became impatient because I was reading the ingredients while making a selection. He said, "She's not getting a drink" to someone who walked up behind me. Wanting to create positive memories of this cruise, I took that opportunity to walk away. The departure process was horrible as my friends and I got told to "step aside" without any explanation for the delay until much later. That process was crude and unfriendly. I had purchased jewelry and the customs agent wanted to know the name of the maker. I didn't remember nor did I care. I liked it so I bought it - period. Gratefully, the customs employee was kind and considerate. Otherwise, all things considered, I'll never sail on the Oasis of the Seas again.

Cabin Review

Cabin 12241
Our cabin view was obstructed by some white structure that covered a section of the park. Horrible.
