Embarkation was very hectic, thank our government workers, don't blame Celebrity. Ship is clean and elegant, showing no signs of aging. The artists from Corning Museum of Glass were the most skilled I have seen yet. Wish there was a way for me to get some of their work home, I would bid high for the charity auction. Other passengers in the MDR drove me elsewhere after four or five nights. Combination of no-shows and the dreaded passengers you would not care to dine with. Service and staff were excellent. Room steward was polite, but obviously still in training. One night I would have no washcloths, another it would be no bath towels. I find humor in such issues. Dining staff pushed very very hard to sell specialty dining, even going table to table in the bars and Sky Lounge. Not just selling at a reduced price, but different prices for everyone. Whatever the guest would offer, they would take it. Celebrity has no integrity in pricing any more. Loyalty perks are much better at Royal. Dining menus continue to reflect the ongoing push to reduce cost. Every cruise line is doing this. If I didn't know where I was, I would guess the far east based on the menu choices. The ports never change, Curacao is my favorite in the Caribbean and I cruise there often, but why did Celebrity schedule a long day at Barbados when everything was closed? Thanks to the Captain for 14 days of excellent weather.
