  3. Emerald Princess
We are regular Princess cruisers and booked this cruise as a means of sampling a different Princess ship other that the ones permanently in Australia. Last year we cruised on the Golden when it first arrived in Australia so we were looking forward to comparing the two. Unfortunately for us and many others, the Emerald did not have Australian power outlets like the Sun class ships and the Golden. No power adapters were supplied and the few available at $16.95 from the boutique store quickly sold out leaving many upset passengers. The adapters for US to UK were only $6.95, a case of surge pricing (pun intended). We had a table in Botticelli dining room and enjoyed great table mates and good service from our waiters. I enjoyed the food on offer with there always being something appealing to choose. The ports we sailed to were interesting, especially the Fijian ones that we had not visited previously.I know Princess cannot control the weather, but we encountered sunny days and mostly smooth seas for our cruise. The International cafe was always busy with tables sometimes difficult to acquire. We used the Wheelhouse bar for our coffee fix if it was to busy in the IC. The embarkation and dis-embarkation at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Sydney was the smoothest we have ever experienced.
