We took the Dream in September of 2015 and the dining room seemed more organized and better staffed than the cruise we just took last week. Our waiter was awesome but had very little qualified help so he was very overwhelmed trying to do almost everything. I understand we were completely booked this cruise but that should have been accounted for. Also, the food was not up to the standards from last year. All in all, the cruise was good but I was a little disappointed in the dining room. I did not attend many of the shows (I kept losing track of the time since my watch was dead) so I can't say much about them except what I heard. I did go to the Liar's Club which was good. I played Bingo which was fun and I appreciated the speed they used since they went slowly enough to correctly check my cards. It would be nice if there were a way to leave messages for the rest of the family. We had 14 people in our group over 5 cabins on different decks and if there were someplace centrally located to leave messages for each other, it would be appreciated. Overall, I really enjoyed my trip and I would go back on the Dream.

Not as well staffed as last year

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View
Cabin 6M 2485
Our cabin was HUGE. It was so large we could hardly see the TV from our beds and the remote had a hard time working. It was nice for my cabin mate and I but I had been told we could only have 2 in this cabin and I really don't understand why. It would easily have held our two twins plus the sofa bed (which was in it already) and probably two more twins.

  • Ziplining
Tour guides were really knowledgeable and great and we had a fantastic time. They were very patient and helpful. I only made 3 of the 5 or 6 ziplines because I couldn't continue climbing the steps up but it was an easy walk back down.

  • Private Resort Day Pass
FOOD WAS GREAT! Lots of stuff for the family to enjoy with paddle boats, snorkels, inflatable water slides and climbing walls, etc. Paid $4 for each umbrella. Small cups of water and juices were included but unlimited sodas and alcoholic drinks cost an extra $15. Worked well for me since I wasn't in the mood for alcohol but you could use the cash bar if you chose to. All in all a great value for the low cost.

  • New Orleans
The port is very well organized. I don't care for New Orleans anymore (been there MANY times) so I don't go out to tour or walk around but the family enjoyed it.

I found this a very enjoyable place for the entire family to enjoy. Lots of space without tripping over other parties. Great day.
