We wanted to celebrate our 45th, and on googling Mediterranean cruises, Oceania came to the top with an excellent deal. The agent who responded to our query was friendly and knowledgeable, and she suggested the perfect stateroom. Upgrades were offered, but we couldn't let go of our "extended veranda," which was twice the size of normal and had room for two chairs, a table, AND two lounge chairs! We appreciated that the specialty restaurants were included as part of the cruise and didn't cost extra. The food is amazing in every venue, but I wish they'd cut back on the portions. Even when I requested smaller portions, I always got more than I could or should eat. Our only non-positive review is on the entertainment. It may be because the Riviera is smaller than other ships we've been on, but still we wish they'd had stronger acts. We took six shore excursions, and most of the guides were fantastic. Only one was so-so. We were disappointed that our Room Service menu for breakfast included only continental. We learned that it was because we were not "concierge level," so that felt like a bit of an insult. With a veranda stateroom, we weren't exactly "steerage," but that's how this made us feel. Oceania should be able to provide a full breakfast menu to all.

Glad we went!

Loved the extended veranda, though we'd have needed better weather to really enjoy it.
