  3. Celebrity Infinity
Chose this cruise because of the ten day itinerary including Key West at Fantasy Fest and Aruba overnight. Celebrity Infinity being a smaller ship sounded interesting since I had not been on one in a long time and we loved it. Embarkation: Perfect....got to the port at 12 Noon. Room: 7043 balcony right adjacent to the elevators (forward) and right above us when you got off on Deck 10 was the Spa Pool area which had a "healthy" food bar with Coffee to bring back to the room. Our balcony was great had the nice high back chairs which you can lean your head back on....some balconies do not have these.....they also collapsed and you could make them go back further! Every night chocolates on our pillow...did I say EVERY night.....a lot of lines gave up doing this too! Entertainment: Wonderful we loved it all......DRevelations was the house band and they were just great. Piano player.....very nice. A couple of other groups that we also enjoyed. The comedian was right on par! Loved it all! The silent disco nights (two) in the Martini Bar was so much fun.....it really was funny watching people with headsets on dancing and singing. You had three stations and the stations were color coded so you knew who was listening to what!!!! FUN even for the watchers! Ports: Key West Fantasy Fest even during the day very interesting to see and never disappointed with KW and I live in Florda. Aruba always so beautiful and overnight took taxi to the Bugelow in Palm Beach its a bar on a pier and you can swim right there very nice .... on the ship at night they had entertainment on the dock....local dancers and music and we were able to enjoy it from the comfort of our balcony!!! Bonaire.....did not get off ship been there a few times and Curacao we did get off but we've also been there before so we just walked around and did a little gambling (as if I wasn't doing enough of that on the ship). Food: OK now this is where things did not go so well.....went to the Tuscan Grill and there were six of us....two of us had fish....the rest beef.....all that had the beef were more than satisfied and loved it; the one girl loved her snapper but I had the swordfish and it was soooooo disappointing....they served it so thin and breaded and it looked like two toast points on a plate and it had the fishiest taste which is a no no....I eat swordfish all the time and it was horrible!!!! Now by the time they replaced it with the snapper everyone was done eating, and my husband had shared his filet mignon with me so I didn't even want it. What I could not believe was that they actually charged me $45 for it .... I wrote up in a guest relations slip that had I been fine dining on shore they would of not only replaced it with another meal they would of removed entirely from my bill. The maître D send me six chocolate covered strawberries on a plate to my room and that even made me madder!!!!! Candy does not replace a fine dining meal!!!!! The main dining room food was not what we expected....who serves turkey parmesan? So there were about 4 nights we ate in the buffet which is very unusual for us, but enjoyed it very much one day they had on the carvery turkey/roast beef/pork very nice. Breakfast in the dining room was excellent and lunch buffet ... don't miss the chicken salad and they just had such a nice assortment everyday we loved it!!! Beverage Package: Day two they were out of all light beers!!!! My husband is a Bud Light man and this was a big disappointment to him. At first bartenders were giving him a hard time because he had the Classic package and the beers he wanted to drink were on the premium (bud light was on classic) so it got so that when they told him he couldn't have it it wasn't on his package he'd say then give me a Bud Light!!! Then they would give him anything he wanted. Also I called Celebrity before we got on the ship to make sure that what I drink was on the Classic package....Crown Royal.....and they told me NO it was not so I had to upgrade to the tune of $118 to go to the Premium package.....when we got on the ship found out that it was part of the classic package.....again nothing refunded, even spoke to the Assistant Beverage Manager and he said sorry he could do nothing on his end. Oh yes and in Curacao a Budweiser delivery truck came to the ship and okay we thought we had Bud......NOPE "someone" made a mistake and only Budweiser was delivered....no Bud Light!!!! Don't get me wrong I'm just letting you know these things because they came up and never had before on any other cruises and the Asst Bar Mgr told me it was because the ship had never sailed in American waters till just now......HUH I said you mean you don't have any ships sailing in American waters you can use to place correct orders??? Disembarkation: Never had this happen in Fort Lauderdale and wonder if something happened that we had to walk about 1/4 mile once we got off the ramp to the Customs Area. Other than that it was handled exceptionally well .... they made sure the ones first in line got off first on the "walk off express line".....of course there were those that tried to "skip" in front of us but after standing in line since 6 am to get off first none of us were having that!!!! Service: Excellent everywhere....nothing they would not get for you if you asked!!! Would I go again on Celebrity.....yes I would overall a very nice trip!!!
