  3. Celebrity Constellation
This is our fourth cruise on Celebrity. The other three were Caribbean, one on the Solstice and two on the Summit. I've always told people that my husband likes cruising more than I do. After this cruise, I am hooked. No renting cars, no checking into hotels, no navigating to the next town and the BEST SERVICE one can imagine. We got to Venice two days early and enjoyed the city. Took a water taxi to the port for 80 euros. Very easy embarkation. One negative compared to embarkation on the Summit was that the Summit made us, as suite level guests, feel very special. Here it felt like a normal check in. Our room was the Celebrity Suite which we had on the Summit before. Butler and room attendant were very attentive. The cabin is spacious with two TVs, dining table, pull out couch and a curved veranda. However, the bathroom is not for anyone with mobility issues. It is a big step down from the tub to the floor. There really needs to be a handle bar to help you get out of the tub. Ship is spotless. DH thought it was more beautiful than the Summit but in all fairness the last time we were on the Summit was before it's refurbishing. The public art is pretty bad. However, it does have a Chiully sculpture outside of Reflections. Entertainment was hit or miss. We usually enjoy the smaller venues and skip the big shows. Here, the smaller acts were hard to time with our schedule and didn't float our boats. However, we enjoyed the shows like WE3 and Jayne Curry. We mainly ate at Luminae at night. Excellent service and food was generally excellent. Had some misses but that's to be expected. Really enjoyed our Sommelier Panji matching wines to our courses. We ate at Tuscan Grille which is a beautiful restaurant. Much prettier than Qsine on the Summit. Generous portions. The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. They even have homemade LImoncello. Ocean liners was also great. I got the dover sole and DH got lobster. Excellent service. Oceanview café always amazes me. They have such a selection of foods. I really enjoy the Asian section. The mango chutney is great. The big surprise from the restaurants was Sushi on 5. We ate lunch there on a sea day. It was really nice to be in a quiet atmosphere and eat a light meal. That is, of course, until I ordered the ginger cake dessert with wasabi ice cream. Yum! We both had wonderful spa treatments. The ports were really different and interesting. We only did Celebrity shore excursions in Dubrovnik and the transfer from the ship to the airport in Athens. The other ports we either had a private tour (Amalfi) or just kicked around the ports on our own. Our favorite was Kotor, Montenegro. It was like walking through a fairy tale. In all the ports, we found neat stuff to take home to our kids. I did enjoy the lectures by Cynthia Peer and Ken Williams. However, the thing that sets this style of travel apart from all others is the service. The crew was incredible. Our room attendant was the best ever. Wait staff seemed to know our names by the second day. Really wonderful people that made our cruise very special.

Okay, I'm finally hooked on cruising

Cabin Review

Celebrity Suite
Cabin CS 8106
Very spacious but the bathtub/shower is very difficult to get out of. I would not recommend this cabin to anyone with mobility issues for this reason.
