The only reason this has three stars was the amazing day we spent cruising in Glacier Bay. If it wasn't for this, it would only be 2 stars. Firstly, we complied with all their requirements about my husbands food allergies (Celiac) and the crew (staff) were very ill informed about all food allergies. So much so, we spent the first day in port shopping for safe food. The three ports we visited were the usual over crowded tourist traps with three ships in each small port. I do not recommend using Holland America's transport from Seattle Airport. We were at the airport by 9.30 in the morning and we didn't get on board till 4 p.m. No stops, only for immigration. Then we found all food stations were closed. Our cabin was very good, we took the guaranteed option and I can recommend 3368. It is on the promenade deck, we checked and with a tinting on the window, no one can see in. This cabin is close to the elevators and only a couple of cabins away from the exit to the deck. We heard that you couldn't stow luggage under the bed so we took a pair of nesting suitcases and were able to stow them in one of the closets, plenty of storage space. We asked for a call if the Northern Lights were visible and it worked. Great service. This is our second try on a Holland America ship, the last time was many years ago and we were hoping that by now, they would have trained their staff in accommodating passengers with food allergies. NO.
