We chose a Sky Suite on the 12th Deck and were not disappointed with the room or the ship. The artwork around the ship is varied and eye-catching. There is a media for everyone's interest. This is a very stylish ship and how enjoyable (and new to us) to not have to stand in life jackets for the emergency drill. By choosing a Sky Suite we could use Luminae. Our meals there on the 3rd Deck were consistently very good. The choice was limited (4 choices for each course) compared to the MDR but we never struggled to choose anything. Each meal was 5 courses if you included the amuse-bouche and the pre-dessert. The service was outstanding. The staff quickly learned names and preferences. We never queued whatever time we turned up. Michael's Club was a useful refuge on sea days but we always found a space anywhere we went in other parts of the ship. The Ocean View Café was very busy at peak times but with a bit of pre-planning it was easy to find a table. The staff were very efficient and the range of food offerings remarkable. Something for every taste. Quisine was more about style than substance we thought but Murano was excellent. The Porch was OK but nothing special. The coffee in Al Baccio on 5th Deck was excellent. We particularly enjoyed Marseille, Villefranche and Ajaccio but beware of shunning the shuttle bus in Marseille as the taxi drivers try to insist you want to go to Aix-en-Provence or Cassis rather than Marseille by telling you that Marseille Is 'dangerous'. Perhaps we were lucky but we found Marseille a delightful vibrant Port. The shuttle bus was 20$ return per person. The taxi worked out slightly cheaper. There was little of interest to us in the enrichment programme except for the talk on Navigation by the Captain which was extremely funny as well as being informative. We didn't think much of the entertainment except for The Beatles tribute band who were really enjoyable. So all in all a good cruise. Disembarkation was the usual shambles!

A very good holiday

Cabin Review

Sky Suite
Cabin S2 2119
Perfectly adequate with 8 deep drawers and 2 wardrobes. Loads of coat hangers and more shelves inside one of the wardrobes. The bed was marvellous, one of the comfiest ever.

The bathroom was quite small but included a bath with over bath shower. The mirrors were cabinets and there were plenty of drawers and shelves. Plenty f toiletries and nice soap.
