Carnival Dream Cruise Review by patmama
- Sail Date: September 2016
- Destination: Western Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Interior
My husband and I had an inside room which was larger than most inside rooms. There was plenty of drawers and closet space.
Because the LIDO deck was so crowded, we ate almost all meals in the main dining room. While not always warm, they did wait on you. Service was slow. While none of the meals were remarkable, they were certainly okay.
The Dream is laid out in a crazy way. Elevators were extremely slow. I did not like this ship. Only two very small pools and no pool in the Adults only area. There was never swimming room, mostly just standing room in both pools and nowhere for kids to swim and have fun.
My Grandkids really enjoyed the Kid's Club. They could not wait to get there every day.
Service in the bars---what service?? One night, my husband and I went to four different bars and were never asked if we would like a drink. You actually had to go to the bar yourself and order any drink you received. Others in our family purchased the soda package and they had to go to a bar every time they wanted a drink.
While our cabin steward was good, they only come once a day. We had towel animals every night, but no chocolate.
While we greatly enjoyed the time with family, we would not choose this ship again.

Montego BayWhile not booked through the cruise line, you have no choice if you want to leave the port area. You have $19.99 pp to ride a bus to Carnival's shopping mall. The wait is long and hot! It was a rip-off!!View All 472 Montego Bay Cruise Port Reviews

New OrleansWe walked to the street car and bought a day pass. This was a great way to get around. We ate beignets, visited French Quarters, went to the Catheral, and just had a fun day exploring on our own.View All 622 New Orleans Cruise Port Reviews
