Azamara Journey Cruise Review by daisygirlnz
- Sail Date: June 2016
- Destination: Baltic Sea
- Cabin Type: Club Interior Stateroom
We like the smaller size ship with fewer passengers thereby giving it a more intimate feel. Also gratuities and complimentary drinks are included so your know where you are so to speak when you commence the cruise. However, the standard of the complimentary wine list for 2016 was not as good as last year. As an example of this, there were no Australian or New Zealand wines available on any day and many Californian ones.
The crew from the Captain downwards were marvellous and we could not fault them - welcoming, friendly and attentive.
We feel that this cruise line suits people who want a quieter time enjoying talking and mixing with each rather than attending big variety shows - they did have evening entertainment but not on a large scale.
The itinerary of this cruise is quite demanding as 4 of the 10 days involved very early starts and late evenings.
The food in all restaurants was good but the MDR could supply more vegetables with dishes rather than having to ask for them every time.
