We were booking for a group of 100 people so wanted to get something that was not too long and found this. From the time we arrived at the port we were treated so well. Checking in was really easy in New Orleans. (I have been to a lot of places where they still do not know how to do it) It is set up very well. The new check in times that Carnival has set-up is brilliant. We got on the ship and our rooms were ready to drop off the stuff we had carried on. We were close to 1st to get on the ship. Then we were off to explore the ship. The ship was clean from top to bottom. Hard to believe considering people had got off the ship less than 2 hours before. We headed up to the buffet as that is where we had told everyone to gather to get the feel of the ship. We had a lot of new cruisers. We all got food from different places. They had something for everyone, from Italian, Chinese, American, and Mexican. So everyone was happy with lunch. Our rooms were the typical size of a ship cabin. There was no refrigerator in the room which was a disappointment. We like to keep water and cokes in them. So we needed to keep ice. One of the problems with that is we then had to drink out of a glass instead of the bottle. And you had to have ice morning and night. Which was not always east as our steward would fill it in the morning and then not come back at night. But we always had a towel animal. A group of us headed off to explore the ship. We started at the back and worked our way forward. From top to bottom. They have mini golf, basketball, chess, ping pong and outdoor movies at the pool. In the evenings you can cover up in your lounge chairs with some popcorn and watch with a lot of fun people. We loved the showroom. So beautiful, although we did not get to see any shows because the water was choppy all week and they could not perform. We still got a picture with some of the cast on the stage... There were also a good group of gamblers in our group. We played in the slot tournaments a few times. When you have a whole group cheering ti sure does make it fun, even if you do not win.. The dining room was great. Our group was in the center of the dining room. And every night we would change tables within our group so we could sit with different people. The waiters we welcoming and enjoying our group as much as we enjoyed them. 3 of the nights the waiters did a little show, which was so fun. And then the last night they allowed our group to do a 5 minute show too. Which had everyone up singing and dancing. The 2 brunch sea days we went to the dining room and they were a little overwhelmed to have a 100 people show up all at once. The Maitre D did everything he could and made so our group was all sated in the same section. The food was good. You can order as much as you want but remember, you do get full...If ordering more than 1 thing try to share some of them. The only downside is they have 4 items on the menu that you do have to pay for. Which used to be on the regular menu. I do not eat lobster but it was always served on elegant night and now it is not. You can never go wrong with the Chocolate melting cake...so good. For the shore excursions in Progresso a group of us did the Dzibilchaltun Ruins and Merida City Tour. These were amazing. If you do this tour make sure to take your bathing suit. Swim in the Cenote. It was so wonderful. One end is very shallow. I stood in it and it came to my knees. There were a lot of locals just sitting around in it. The other end was very deep. they said about 135 feet. So people were diving on that end and playing. Make sure to take some kind of water shoes because the rocks are very uncomfortable to walk on. In Cozumel 45 of us booked a thru thru the Cozumel Tours Company. Luxury Resort Beach Break was at the Occidental Grand Resort. I cannot recommend this highly enough. From the moment we started arriving to when we left, they were wonderful. There was the ocean which was fantastic, but the pool was so great. I got in and never got out for the next 6 hours...except to eat, drink and use the ladies room. It was all inclusive so there were plenty of margaritas to drink. Lunch was a huge buffet. It had everything. Food was delicious too. Then it was time to leave. 5 days for me is not a long enough cruise. (I have talked the group into 6 days next year) Disembarkation was as simple as embarkation. Went very smooth and we were off and in a cab within 15 minutes.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin 8B 7395
The cabin was a typical balcony cabin. Just in the rear. This was the first time we had been near the elevators and was a little worried but we never heard anything. And being on the 7th floor we were able to walk 2 floors up to the pool and 2 floors down to the level with activities, casino and meeting rooms. Then down 2 more floors and we were at the door to the dining room.
