have been home from Veendam cruise for a month now but can still remember that first of all - the cabin was dirty, stained walls and curtains, chips in the cupboards and all rust around the windows which was all you could see when entering the cabin. we went to complain and would only see the guest relations manager. she told us she would look at things and come back to us - we never heard from her again. But the room was cleaned and all the stains removed but no-one every asked us how things are, and still all the window surrounds were rusty. I suppose because of an older ship. we chose any-time dining which was excellent - never problems getting into dining room when we wanted. we found food in main dining room - quite basic served too quickly, but thought the choices in the Buffet and on deck excellent. Tried the Pinnacle one night, and even though we had tried to get in for 3 nights using the restaurant manager who kept saying there was no room, we managed to get in very easily from the Front Desk and found the place half empty. enjoyed the Italian twice, but found that a lot of the nice breads and complimentary foods were not around this time. we had had them on 2 previous cruises. shame that we could not stay for a longer period at Key West as the sundown ceremony seemed very special and we only had a day at sea following day.

Slightly Disappointing
